New - less disruptive - REAR air exhaust direction.
Transforms the traditional blast of air from the CAP exhaust - known for blowing air forward into saw dust and debris laden areas.
NEW Rear exhaust method - no longer involves traditional protruding Cap Bolts and adjustable top air deflector - now enabling the use of a truly SMOOTH new cap design. Even more rugged than ever with fewer parts to need replacement.
Packaged in the tool's carton - the Next Generation 440 Omer tools have BOTH these trigger types.
The Red trigger (often called Bump Fire...or Contact Trip) - comes installed on STAPLERS.
The SQ trigger (continuous Single Sequential design) BLACK color coded assembly comes installed on our Bradder - Pinner - Finish Nailer varieties of Omer tools.
Changing method of fire - from one to the other and back again is now almost child's play due to the new retractable and concealed PINS which allow rapid trigger choice change overs.
Streamlined "Tilt" (angle of attack) provides the tool operator new maneuverability potential. Made possible through use of a more compact E-Z clearing nose feature. Though .020" (5mm) doesn't sound like a gigantic difference in design - the result makes driving Omer fasteners so much easier when the tool must be aimed precisely in tight-quarters.
A Little - Goes A Long WAY as they say and these subtle looking differences are what takes an ordinary air tool and turns it into a Masterpiece of Functional Art.
After all - not every shot allows unencumbered movement. You never know when a new applications or material change will put you into "snug" confines.
A Eureka Moment awaits when we suddenly see what .020" steeper front angle of the tool body (a scant 5 mm of difference) truly means.
Thanks to a newly modified safety design on Bottom Loading tools, the entire magazine assembly/Slider can now be removed as a whole unit without any disassembly required. Lends itself to easier maintenance and/or conversion from short to long magazine lengths, etc.
New 440 sliders can be released by a much easier "button style trigger" compared to the previous 420 model's heavily sprung lever design.
Highly accessible and improved controls for precise depth of drive adjustments. In complete compliance with latest safety regulations.
No need to search for a wrench with disassembling the slider for routine maintenance. Quick and easy removal only requires your hands now.
On-Site Construction and some industrial uses are enhanced by a belt hook option. The new 440 model is adapted to accept such a belt hook accessory for those so inclined.
Improved Technical Data Sheets accompany each new tool, with a far more user-friendly format for spare parts identification of which parts come from the factory already complete with seals - enhanced directions for where to put (Loc-Tite) thread-locking fluid. Also updated torque- tightening instructions for all screws requiring special attention.
Stylish newly improved design for presentation of Omer "Next Generation" Tools sporting the OMER Logo prominently and the Bar Code/Model Data in Yellow corner block. Protective inner sleeve that ensures arrival in pristine condition.

New design provides reduced spring tension resulting in a far easier to open latching system. Moving nose-plate safety also has reduced drag due to improved E-Z elements in the 440 compared to the 420 design it replaces.
Revamped moving nose plate that has less spring tension and can move more smoothly. Less force required to open the latch when clearing a bent fastener from the nose or regular cleaning regimen.
Highly accessible and improved controls for precise depth of drive adjustments. In complete compliance with latest safety regulations.
